5 Ways to Make a Stunning White Candle Jar: A Step-by-Step Guide

Candles are a popular home decor item, and a beautiful candle jar can elevate the aesthetic of any space. If you’re looking to add a touch of elegance to your candles, why not try making a white candle jar? In this blog post, I will share with you 5 different ways to do so using various materials and techniques, including Cement All & Titanium Dioxide, White Acrylic Spray Paint, Jai’s Formula, Hydrocal, and Hydrostone. So, let’s get started!

Cement All & Titanium Dioxide

For this method, you will need Cement All, Titanium Dioxide (TD), water, and a silicone mold. Start by mixing 280 grams of Cement All with 10% of TD (28 grams) in a mixing bowl. Then, add 77 grams of water (25% of 308 grams) and stir well. Once the mixture is thoroughly mixed, pour it into a silicone mold placed on a vibrating machine. Let it harden for 3 hours, then demold to reveal a stunning white concrete candle jar.

White Acrylic Spray Paint

If you have a plain or imperfect candle jar lying around, you can easily transform it into a white candle jar using white acrylic spray paint. Simply place the jar in a cardboard box, shake the spray paint, and spray a thin coat onto the jar. Let it dry for 30 minutes, then spray another coat. After another 30 minutes of drying time, you’ll have a flawless, amazing jar with a smooth finish.

Jai’s Formula

Jai Catalano’s formula involves mixing 150 grams of sand, 75 grams of white cement, and 75 grams of plaster in a mixing bowl. Add 75 to 85 grams of water and mix thoroughly. Pour the mixture into a silicone mold and use a vibrating machine to get out any pesky bubbles, and let it harden for an hour before demolding. The result is a solid and pure white candle jar that will make a stylish statement in any room.

Hydrocal

To make a white candle jar with Hydrocal, mix 275 grams of Hydrocal with 110 grams of water in a bowl. Let it sit for a few minutes to create a dry bed lake effect, then mix it thoroughly. Pour the mixture into a silicone mold and use a vibrating machine to get out those bubbles. After it reaches the top, let it harden for 45 minutes before demolding. The final product will be a lightweight and stunning white candle jar.

Hydrostone

Finally, for a white candle jar made of Hydrostone, mix 300 grams of Hydrostone with 100 grams of water in a bowl. Let it sit for a moment to create a dry lake bed effect, then stir it thoroughly. Pour the mixture into a silicone mold and use a vibrating machine to get out any stubborn bubbles, and let it harden for 2 hours before demolding. The result will be a solid and lightweight white candle jar that will add a touch of sophistication to any room.

So there you have it, there are various ways to make these jars, each with its unique characteristics and advantages. Whether you prefer the durability of concrete, the convenience of spray paint, the versatility of Jai’s formula, or the lightweight properties of Hydrocal or Hydrostone, you can create a stunning jar that will enhance the ambiance of your home.
